My first night a Paper Cowgirl was fabulous ... loved all the cowgirls, and the joy they all had for this event... On a personal note however, it was a rough start.. I left Hartford, Ct on American Airlines for a 3 hour non-stop flight which went pretty well, until I landed in Dallas - sans luggage. Now, the luggage with all my class samples. Then on the car ride back to the hotel from the Dove's Nest, the car I was riding in collided with a truck. Back at the hotel, checking the mail for updates on the location of my baggage... I had an email from Tinsel Trading saying there were cancelling all summer classes.. might start again in the autumn. Wow... what a day! Baggage did finally arrive at the hotel.
And on the REALLY... REALLY upside.. I am invited back to teach at ARTFEST 2012... YIPPEE.. I am delighted as always... Here is a peek at the tiny tattered journal I will teach and I am also re-prising the Photoshop class with all new ideas, collages and etc...I can't wait!!! xoxo
It has taken me a couple days.. but here are some more Paper Cowgirls pictures... a few snapshots from here and there ....First a few more goodies from the Lovely Dove's Nest... Let the classes Begin..I don't have pictures of all the classes .. but here is one at the Crafty Scrapper given by Phyllis Ann Shows.. in the class they made these wonderful soldered boxes... WOW!
Phyllis held her class in the Crafty Scrapper... downtown Waxahachie..an amazing store.. oh so much shopping to do...so little time...

The lovely Dove's Nest gift store and restaurant was the first gathering point for the Paper Cowgirls retreat this weekend... Cindy Mayfield welcomed all the participants with a fabulous evening of food, swaps, meeting and greeting... and as the saying goes.. a wonderful time was had by all.. Here are a few glimpses of the first night!
The boxes are all packed and shipping to Waxahachie...ready for Paper Cowgirl! Now is the time when I keep hoping they will arrive there safe and sound... always on pins and needles about that...Here are just a few of the items nestled in the boxes...
I do not have a Santos... though I love them...but, I decided to make some Santo's crowns for my doll heads...they are soldered rings from some pieces of decorative metal I found at a stained glass shop..and then various pieces of metal findings, tintypes and etc...now to find a santos..!
