Earth Angels in Saratoga Springs, NY

Jen O'Connor presented her "spring fling" this past weekend in Saratoga Springs at Schuyler Pond.. a wonderful gift shop in the coutry side... lovely lush fields a barn filled with treasures and a delightful country farm...Jen presented everyone who attended with a lovely array of handmade items from her every lovely array of artists... here are a few pics of the day..oh and this really is just a very small sampling ....

I received a lovely copy of Somerset Gallery today in the mail..which was a surprise because I do not get Somerset Gallery via the mail...so as I paged through ... I realized it was my complimentary copy since the pusblished a group of my holiday glass ornaments... 

 

Digital Workshops.. California and Connecticut...

In my Art-is-You digital workshops..in California and Connecticut, we are going begin with a great introduction to layers, blending modes and image sizing.  We will create backgrounds, add images and even learn how to create a custom brushes for adding texture or grunge to your pictures.  And don't worry we take our time...no need to rush.  I will provide lots of images for class and beyond.  You can download free trial software at Adobe, for 30 days.  I am using Photoshop CS series, but Photoshop Elements will also be good for this class..So please come play with me and discover this wonderful addition to your art toolbox.

Tinsel Trading Workshop

HI... now that I have managed to tear myself away from "Pinterest" for awhile... I want to share my Tinsel Trading workshop with you all.  I have been working with Melanie at Tinsel Trading to set up a special class for you all on July 16th..We will be creating a version of the old victorian parlour bird pieces.  Of, course, we will be working with glass birds and glitter..and our presentation will be stunning.  Melanie has been wonderful and in a week or so I will get down to the store and leave the sample there in case you are in town and want to see up close and personal!  Melanie has been a sweetie and I am so grateful for all her help and hard work...here are some pictures of the piece.  I will be providing the cloche, bird, nest, wire and etc.. and embellishments and glass glitter you can get at Tinsel!  Here is a picture and I hope to see you there...seating will be limited due to the cloches I have available!  xoxo

 

Oh, dear Obsession...

 A couple of weeks ago, i found, or it found me...... a neat little place called....

 

                                                         
They give you a little "Pin It" icon to put on your tool bar, and on the site, you create "boards", then when you see something which catches your eye on your virtual tours, you can click the "pin it" icon in your own litle cabinet of curiosities... it is so much fun to share what you find.. but, the amazing array of little treasures other people have found is astounding..  Also, my "style" tends to be very ecclectic and all over the place... maybe this will help me to see a trend...lol. have fun!!!
