Something Wicked
Getting all dressed up for Halloween ... one wicked in black and one in white...
each holding her rather scary cat! I will be teaching this as a class
at New England Scrap and there will also be one for sale at Bleu Willow...each witch is
jointed and ready to fly!!

In my garden I have hummingbirds who are daily visitors, and yesterday I am
quite sure I saw a baby hummingbird.... flew to get the camera, and snapped
a few pictures, but it was sooo small.., I really don't think it will show up as
much more than a tiny blur!
Today, I am beginning to update my website - not much fun, it is very
slow going and I would love to have a newer look... but will work with
the site I have for now. I am updating the "Digital" section first - as those
pictures are all re-sized and available on the computer. Many of them
have already been on this blog as a banner or art.

Inspiration...
Several of years ago - I found this neat gypsy fortune teller and really loved the idea
of a doll with a skirt with text and such. This particular fortune teller must have been
a "game: about love and astrology. Since it did not come with a box, I really do not
know how to interpret the pages, but it has sections named Cupid, Juno, Apollo,
Mercury and etc. So, it was from this vintage gypsy I found my inspiration for the
Doll Journal I will be teaching at "ART-IS" in October. The first one I made and taught
originally had a vintage Dennison Doll as the theme for the journal. For the
Cromwell event I made a change and we will be doing a French version - more
of the Marie Antoinette style.

August Playtime
Usually, I am not a fan of August in New England... way to much heat and humidity for
me, but so far this August has been delightful...warm days, nice cool nights! Wonderful!
I was working on a new blog banner, but the proportions just weren't to my liking so
here is an August picture - just for fun and a second one I am working on for
Halloween.
